Former Police Officer Faces Jail Time
A former police officer is currently facing jail time after the investigators discovered assault rifles and illegal ammunition magazines in his home in Gloucester County.
The 62-year-old former police officer named Brian Hinkel of Newfield received a five-year imprisonment of sentence last Wednesday.
The former police officer of Vineland was arrested last January year 2009 when the state police members saw several guns in plain view on an unrelated investigation.
There are around 260 guns that was found in the search of home where it includes illegal assault weapons.
The 62-year-old honestly admitted that he’s guilty last February in possessing four assault weapons and 21 large-capacity magazines for semi-automatic rifles.
Superior Court Judge M. Christine Allen Jackson in Woodbury sentenced him.
