Sally Starr services open for the public

A viewing for children’s TV host Sally Starr will start from 5 in the afternoon up until 8 in the evening at Costantino Funeral Home, 231 White Horse Pike, Berlin. The general public is invited to join. A service will follow at 8 in the evening. Internment is private.

Sally Starr, who died Jan 27 at the age of 90, hosted WFIL-TV’s “Popeye Theater” from 1955 to 1971.

A lot of South Jersey citizens of a certain age reminisce getting their photos taken with Starr when they were children.
