Louisiana State Troopers Were Able To Vote Absentee
The Louisiana state troopers were able to vote absentee by fax. The state troopers were the ones who volunteered themselves in helping the New Jersey police after the Superstorm Sandy.
When a group of 25 state troopers have left Louisiana at around 3:00 in the morning last Sunday on the 1,300-mile drive heading to New Jersey, Captain Doug Cain stated that the state police commanders requested the Secretary of State Tom Schedler for him to look for a way so that the troopers will be able to vote absentee. Captain Doug Cain is a Louisiana State Police spokesman.
Captain Doug Cain had a conversation with the office of Attorney General Buddy Caldwell and voter registrars in the home parishes of the troopers.
