Five Individuals Died Because Of West Nile Virus

The Health Department of New Jersey is reporting that five individuals have died in the state because of West Nile virus.

There are two deaths that happened in Passaic County while there are one death each of the counties of Ocean, Gloucester and Burlington.

The health focus of the state detailed that there are 45 cases of the mosquito borne sickness have been reported to them around the 16 counties of the state.

The virus is got by the mosquitoes from feeding on birds that are infected and then transmitted to individuals that they bite.

The people who are most at risk for a serious complications in their health are the elderly and those individuals who have weak immune systems.

These cases typically arise in the early fall or late summer.
