U.S. Airlines Offer Waivers To Reschedule Flights

Airlines in the United States are giving the travelers a way out if they want to cancel their flights due to the presence of Hurricane Sandy.

All of the major U.S. airlines are offering waivers to the travelers who want to cancel and reschedule their flights without incurring the typical payment that is up to $150.

Most of the offered waivers for travel in the Northeast are are only valid during Monday through Wednesday.

The said airlines have only canceled some of their flights so far, just about all of those flights are tripping in and out of Florida and the Caribbean.

Those travelers who want to fly in or out of the affected parts are asked to check first their flight status before going to their respective airports. The airlines also promise that they will update their social networking sites like their Facebook pages and Twitter feeds with the latest information that the traveler should know. To cancel their flight, the traveler must call their airline directly. However, some airlines are allowing to commit some changes on their websites.
