National Weather Service Release Final Figures of Sandy’s Damages

The National Weather Service finally released the final figures on how much Hurricane Sandy attacked and damaged New Jersey with its strong wind and heavy rain.

In Montclair, the wind reached 88 mph while 77 mph in Atlantic City wherein Hurricane Sandy made the landfall last Monday night. Surf City has recorded a wind gust of 89 mph. Wildwood Crest recorded about a foot of rain while Middle Township in Cape May County has recorded 11.40 inches of rain.

There were 7 inches in Lawrence Township in Cumberland County and 8.15 inches in Atlantic City.

Gatlinburg, Tenn has the most rain from Hurricane Sandy having 12.55 inches.
