The Oldest Nuclear Plant of the Nation is back Online!

A good news for the state! The oldest operating nuclear plant of the nation is back to provide its service after being offline several days ago.

According to the state’s officials, the power was fully back online at the Oyster Creek nuclear plant last Saturday afternoon in Lacey Township.

The suspension of power supply started last Monday morning after the electrical disruption led the nuclear plant’s reactor to shut down automatically.

The officials also assumed that the reason behind the power loss was caused by the ground of a high-voltage line that offers the electricity to the plant in Ocean County.

The nuclear plant personnel then used up the week to perform such minor maintenance that can only be underwent of the reactor will be offline.

The Oyster Creek preliminary went online dating back last Dec. 1, 1969.

The Oyster Creek now provides enough electricity to control 600,000 homes a year and delivers 9 percent of New Jersey’s electricity.
